Setting aside some time for grieving can help you feel more in control and less overwhelmed by your feelings.

Whether it’s every day, every week, or just on certain occasions, your grief time needs to work for you, and where you are in your grieving process. What you need might change as time goes on. One idea is to set aside 30 minutes whenever you need it when you won’t be disturbed

Setting Aside Time to Grieve

During your grief time, you could:

  • Go through a box of memories like old photos, letters, or important keepsakes
  • Sit and think about your loved one quietly
  • Talk to them as if they were here
  • Allow yourself to cry
  • Play some music that reminds you of them
  • Write them a letter

Setting aside a certain amount of time to grieve and remember a loved one might help it feel easier to carry on with other parts of your life outside of that time.

If you’d like some support with your grief, or with anything at all, why not chat to someone at Kooth today.
