Common Mental Health Conditions

Almost everyone suffers with their mental health at some point in their lives. For some, it can be short-lived and relatively untroubling, while for others it can be long-term, debilitating and very distressing.

For many, mental health is something that fluctuates between good, ok and not so good. We all experience our mental health and wellbeing differently, and there is no right or wrong way to feel.

You may have also noticed how much mental health is talked about; on social media, at school and on TV. This is a positive thing and helps us realise that we are not alone with whatever we are feeling.

However, it can also lead to confusion. We nay see things in the media, or hear things from our friends, that we don’t understand, or that may make us feel concerned.

We created this page to help you understand more about some common mental health conditions. If you’re interested in one of the topics below, click through to open up a world of useful, informative content.

We help thousands of young people every year to deal with all sorts of things, and many of the articles were written by some of our trained counsellors.
